Seeking an enthusiastic Physical Therapist to support students in a dynamic educational setting for the upcoming academic year. This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 13, 2026, through May 21, 2027, with consistent weekday hours—Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.—for a total of 35 hours weekly. The role is based onsite, working directly with students and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Key qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
- Previous experience in a school-based environment is highly preferred
- Familiarity with IEPs, completion of evaluations, writing Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN), and documenting progress monitoring
- Comfort with classroom equipment and an understanding of its applications in physical therapy
- Ability to supervise at least one Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
- Training in Transdisciplinary Play-Based Assessment (TPBA) for PreK is a strong asset
- Strong organizational and communication skills; team-oriented attitude
- Must be available onsite for the entire contracted duration
Primary responsibilities:
- Provide direct treatment services to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and collaborate with educators and family members
- Document student progress and contribute to ongoing monitoring
- Supervise and mentor PTA(s) as required
- Contribute to equipment recommendations and setup within classrooms
- Maintain clear, accurate, and timely records in accordance with school guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary planning
