A contract opportunity is available for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in telepractice services within a school setting, located in Rockville, MD. This role involves providing telespeech and teletherapy services to K-12 students, primarily within the Eastern Standard Time zone.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering speech-language pathology assessments and therapy through telehealth platforms.
- Managing caseloads across elementary to high school students, with caseload size ranging from approximately 40 to 57 students at peak.
- Collaborating with supervising personnel to tailor caseloads based on skill set and geographic location.
- Maintaining compliance with all state licensure and credentialing requirements.
- Participating in pre-screening interviews to assess candidate suitability for virtual school-based service delivery.
Qualifications and experience sought:
- Valid Maryland Speech Language Pathology license must be current and verifiable.
- Minimum of three years experience providing virtual speech services in a school setting post-COVID.
- Ability to work full-time (35 hours per week) in a teletherapy capacity, strictly following EST hours.
- Familiarity with educational speech therapy protocols and caseload management in virtual environments.
- Successful completion of background checks in accordance with House Bill requirements.
This contract begins on August 25, 2026 and continues through June 11, 2027. The position requires candidates to be comfortable working with a variety of student age groups, from elementary to middle and high school.
