Picture yourself making an impact this summer as a Physical Therapist supporting school-aged children in an engaging educational environment. Two rewarding contract opportunities are available: providing services during an Extended School Year (ESY) program or delivering assessments for infants and toddlers. Both roles are in-person, offering you the chance to work face-to-face with students and collaborate closely with educators and families.
You’ll enjoy a consistent, Monday–Thursday schedule, keeping your Fridays free and making work-life balance a priority. For ESY, the program runs June 29th to July 30th, with professional development taking place on June 25th. You’ll serve students at special education and general education schools, working either 9:30 am–3:30 pm or 8:00 am–2:00 pm, with up to six hours billed per day, 24 hours each week. For the infants and toddlers’ services, the schedule is June 22nd–July 30th, up to seven hours per day and 28 hours per week, all on-site.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree or higher from an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Active Maryland Physical Therapy Licensure (please provide image/copy of license)
- Experience supporting pediatric populations in educational or clinical settings preferred
- Must complete all credentialing, background check, and fingerprinting requirements (House Bill 486 compliance)
- Ability to participate in a prescreen interview for eligibility
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapeutic physical therapy services to students or infants and toddlers
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement IEP/IFSP goals
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and family members
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
