Based near Puyallup, WA, this full-time contract position will work within a district where your expertise is valued and your support empowers both students and staff.
As one of only two OTs in the district, you’ll find opportunities to build strong working relationships and play an essential role in providing collaborative care. The average caseload is approximately 30, allowing you to deliver individualized services and also contribute Tier 1 support to educators across campuses. This is a hands-on, onsite position—virtual work and COTAs are not options for this assignment.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Active or eligible for WA Occupational Therapist license/certification
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is strongly preferred
- Confident providing both direct student therapy and Tier 1 staff supports
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Able to provide professional references (district will confirm these)
- Commitment to serving in a full-time, onsite capacity throughout the full academic year
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized OT services to a caseload of approximately 30 students
- Collaborate with staff to support universal (Tier 1) interventions and classroom strategies
- Participate in assessments, IEP meetings, and develop student goals
- Serve as an OT resource for teachers and paraprofessionals across the district
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
