Step into a vital role where you’ll have a significant impact supporting students across a district during the 2026-2027 school year. This contract opportunity calls for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to address a diverse caseload—typically around 30 students—with an emphasis on Tier 1 supports for staff. You’ll be one of only two OTs serving the district, allowing you to build strong relationships and collaborate directly with educators and team members.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services in educational settings, working collaboratively to benefit students throughout the district.
- Manage assessment, intervention, and documentation for a caseload spanning varied ages and needs.
- Provide consultative Tier 1 support, coaching, and training to staff to foster inclusive learning environments.
- Participate in the evaluation and development of students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Maintain clear, precise records in compliance with state and district guidelines.
- Serve as a critical point of contact for faculty and families regarding OT-related strategies and student progress.
- Contribute to a supportive atmosphere that enhances student well-being and participation.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license for the state of Washington, or the willingness to obtain prior to start.
- Strong understanding of pediatric or school-based OT practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Previous school-based experience is highly valued.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- References required and will be verified as part of the hiring process.
