Bilingual Therapies has an opening for an Elementary Special Education Teacher on a full-time school-based contract in Charles City, Virginia. This position offers the opportunity to provide individualized support through a combination of push-in services within general education classrooms and pull-out instruction based on student needs and IEP requirements. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative educator who can provide strong instructional support while working closely with general education teachers.
Position Details
• Position: Special Education Teacher
• Grade Level: Elementary School
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
• Hours: 8:45 AM–4:15 PM
• Hours per Week: 37.5
• Caseload: Up to 14 students
• Setting: School-based / Onsite
Responsibilities
• Provide push-in support within the general education setting
• Provide pull-out services based on student needs and IEP requirements
• Manage a caseload of up to 14 students
• Develop and maintain individualized education programs
• Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation
• Attend IEP meetings and collaborate with the school team
• Work closely with general education teachers to support student success
Qualifications
• Valid Virginia Special Education teaching license required
• Previous school-based experience preferred
• Strong instructional, communication, and collaboration skills
