Job Description:
Dietary Cook / Dietary Aide – Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
Prepared and served nutritious meals for residents in accordance with physician-ordered diets, facility policies, and food safety standards. Assisted with food preparation, meal service, kitchen sanitation, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment while providing quality customer service to residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepared meals according to standardized recipes and therapeutic diet requirements.
- Assisted with food preparation, portioning, tray assembly, and meal distribution.
- Ensured compliance with food safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines.
- Cleaned and sanitized kitchen equipment, workstations, dishes, and dining areas.
- Stored food properly and monitored temperatures to maintain food quality and safety.
- Worked closely with dietary staff and nursing personnel to accommodate residents' dietary needs and preferences.
- Maintained adequate inventory of food and kitchen supplies and reported shortages.
- Followed all state and federal regulations for long-term care dietary services.
- Provided courteous, respectful service while promoting residents' comfort and satisfaction.
