Big Sandy Area Community Action Program is looking for a Community Resource Representative to join our team in our Paintsville office.
Position Summary: The Community Resource Representative is primarily responsible for providing services available through the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) determining and documenting eligibility and providing CSBG, LIHEAP, and Team Kentucky services to individuals and families.
Job duties and details:
- Assisting customers with basic intake forms and applications, answering incoming phone calls, and scheduling appointments.
- Assessing customer needs and developing plans to meet identified needs and barriers, completing any necessary documentation.
- Maintaining ongoing records of customer plans/activities and monitoring progress toward self-sufficiency.
- Staying up to date on changes in services and program requirements for community resources.
- Identifying resources and making appropriate referrals ensuring coordination of services.
- Acting as a liaison between community agencies and clients.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Associates degree in human services or related field is required
· Experience in delivering and managing services to a large client population
· Exceptional customer service orientation
· Valid driver’s license and access to an automobile
· Hire subject to agency policy on required background checks and drug screening.
Starting Salary
$12.50/hour
