What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) PMRU position at Bethany Children's Health Center?
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides physical therapy services to pediatric patients under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA implements established plans of care, facilitates the development of functional mobility, strength, endurance, balance, and motor skills, and supports participation in daily activities to promote independence, safety, and quality of life. This position collaborates with patients, families, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to achieve individualized rehabilitation goals and optimize patient outcomes within the Pediatric Medical Rehabilitation Unit (PMRU).
Qualifications:
| Education: | Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program |
| Experience: | Pediatric experience preferred |
| License/Certification/Credential: | Certified Physical Therapy Assistant License from State of Oklahoma proven eligibility for licensing within 3-6 months of employment with temporary license. |
