Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct electrical repairs and troubleshooting using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
- Carry out welding tasks and mechanical repairs, including the use of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) when necessary.
- Execute residential painting projects and general facilities maintenance tasks to uphold safety standards and aesthetic quality.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Supervise junior team members or contractors during specific projects or repairs, providing guidance and ensuring safety compliance.
- Respond promptly to repair requests from various departments or tenants, delivering excellent customer service throughout the process.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role within manufacturing or residential environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in welding, electrical systems, schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting with tools like ohmmeters.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in industrial automation settings.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience supervising maintenance teams or projects.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for work order management and record keeping.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to coordinate tasks and document issues clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
