Maintenance Staff

Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Maintenance Staff member to join our dynamic facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities through hands-on maintenance, repairs, and inspections. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for all occupants and visitors. Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct electrical repairs and troubleshooting using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
• Carry out welding tasks and mechanical repairs, including the use of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) when necessary.
• Execute residential painting projects and general facilities maintenance tasks to uphold safety standards and aesthetic quality.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Supervise junior team members or contractors during specific projects or repairs, providing guidance and ensuring safety compliance.
• Respond promptly to repair requests from various departments or tenants, delivering excellent customer service throughout the process.

Experience

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role within manufacturing or residential environments.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in welding, electrical systems, schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting with tools like ohmmeters.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in industrial automation settings.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience supervising maintenance teams or projects.
• Knowledge of CMMS software for work order management and record keeping.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to coordinate tasks and document issues clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
