Job Title: Front Desk Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION
The front desk manager is primarily responsible for supervising front desk team members to ensure efficient and smooth operations for producing excellent feedback and guest satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Provide exceptional customer service by being engaging and taking a sincere interest.
- Training all new Front Desk Agents to provide exceptional customer service.
- Check guests in, ensuring proper credit is received, special requests are noted and fulfilled, and accurate information is established.
- Promote and sell special hotel programs.
- Supervise daily shift process ensuring all team members adhere to standard operating procedures.
- Conduct pre-assignment of hotel rooms, which includes VIPS, repeat guests, all packages, and any special requests.
- Works closely with the Maintenance and Housekeeping teams to communicate and coordinate the day.
- Train, direct the work of, resolve issues/problems, and coach and counsel the front desk team members to ensure a quality operation.
- Interact with hotel/resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information.
- Be knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and policies.
- Communicate all pertinent information to the manager on duty.
- Follow set procedures on posting, charges, cashing checks, safe deposits, and refunds.
- Assist with sales as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.
- Sales background preffered.
- Hotel Experience: 2 years (Required)
- Hotel Supervision/Leadership: 1 year (Required)
- Four-year college degree in a related field, and/or equivalent experience in a related field preferred.
- Experience in hotel or business management in a service-related industry, including Rooms Division or accommodation.
- Operations management experience with a demonstrated track record of developing and leading a team.
- Encompass high levels of financial literacy with Profit & Loss Accountability, and Budget/Expense Management.
- Apply a commercial business approach toward sound decision-making and outcomes.
- High-quality written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Meet tight timeframes without compromising customer service or accuracy.
- Demonstrate initiative in problem-solving, is receptive and open to new ideas, and can adjust and respond accordingly.
- Experience with database management systems and MS Office suite.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
