Must have the ability to communicate effectively with guests, co-workers and management.
Work independently while also achieving success as part of a hotel team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clean and arrange guest rooms to hotel brand standards for guest arrival
- Clean and maintain common areas of the hotel
- Clean, restock and maintain housekeeper carts
- Ensure a high level of customer service is performed at all times
- Assist guests with requests and questions as necessary
- Report any damages or repairs needed to supervisor or management
- Report all lost and found items to the supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous hotel housekeeping experience is a plus, but we will train motivated people new to hotels
- High level of organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong guest focus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Must be willing and have the ability to work a varied schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
- A passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service.
- Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
- Ability to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time.
- Must be a team player and be able to work independently.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Must be able to move or carry objects or materials.
- Must be able to stand, kneel, and bend for periods of time.
- Ability to lift to up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to make repeated and continued movements of the shoulders, elbows, and hands (below waist and overhead movements).
- Must be able to push and pull a moderate weight frequently.
Previous hotel cleaning experience is preferred but not required; We will train candidates looking to broaden their skills. Opportunity to cross train into other departments within the hotel is available. Weekends/holidays required. **Housekeeping position is a daytime position. Evening hours are not available. **
