Our team is seeking an experienced Executive Housekeeper to lead our Housekeeping department. The ideal candidate should have experience as a Housekeeper as well as knowledge and experience with the inspection of rooms, maintaining brand standards, supervising the performance of peers, and reporting directly to upper management. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect the cleaning of guest rooms to achieve and maintain a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
- Notify Room Attendant(s) of any deficiencies found in the room. Ensure the Room Attendant returns to the room to correct the deficiency, when applicable. Re-inspect the corrected rooms.
- Work with and train room attendants to ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently.
- Inspect housekeeping carts and closets to ensure that they are properly stocked by daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reporting.
- Ensure cleanliness of all common areas of the hotel by delegating tasks amongst Housekeepers.
- Support room attendants when needed by removing linen, assisting with bed making, or cleaning rooms.
- Communicate with the Maintenance Department of any found maintenance issues to ensure rooms are in both clean and working order.
- Communicate with the Front Office and Management of any housekeeping delays or issues and make necessary changes to room status.
- Fill out work order tickets as needed and ensure rooms not meeting rentable standards are not released back to inventory until such issues are addressed.
- Provides support to Management to ensure that guest satisfaction scores exceed brand benchmarks.
- Unload and rotate inventory as received.
- Performs any other duties as requested by supervisor.
EXPERIENCE
- At least 2 years of Hotel Room Inspector or Housekeeping Leadership role
- At least 4 years of Hotel experience
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous housekeeping experience.
- High level of organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong guest focus.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Must be willing and have the ability to work a varied schedule to include weekends and holidays.
- A passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service.
- Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
- Ability to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must be a team player and be able to work independently.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Must be able to move or carry objects or materials.
- Must be able to stand, kneel, and bend for periods of time.
- Ability to lift to 25 lbs.
- Ability to make repeated and continued movements of the shoulders, elbows, and hands (below waist and overhead movements).
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull a moderate weight frequently.
