Best Western Plus Tree House is seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance person to ensure our facilities remain in top condition. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of our hotel. Your expertise will help create a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike by performing repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance across various systems and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Repair electrical equipment using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools; troubleshoot issues efficiently.
- Perform residential painting, light carpentry, and other mechanical repairs to uphold property standards.
- Maintain plumbing systems by repairing leaks, unclogging drains, and servicing fixtures as needed.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track work orders, schedule preventive tasks, and document completed repairs.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations during maintenance tasks.
Skills
- Proficiency in HVAC troubleshooting or maintenance practices.
- Mechanical knowledge including plumbing systems and residential painting skills.
- Ability to interpret technical diagrams and schematics accurately.
- Experience with Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) procedures in a hospitality or manufacturing environment.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical issues.
