Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a spotless environment.
- Maintain cleanliness of public spaces such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and common areas by sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces regularly.
- Care for flooring through proper cleaning techniques including carpet extraction, polishing hard floors, and applying protective treatments as needed.
- Restock supplies in guest rooms and public areas to ensure availability of essentials like toiletries, towels, and cleaning products.
- Follow safety protocols during cleaning procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe environment for guests and staff alike.
- Assist with special cleaning projects such as industrial cleaning or deep cleans during scheduled maintenance periods.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in cleaning or janitorial work is preferred; hotel or hospitality experience is highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, carpet cleaning, and surface sanitation.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude that promotes teamwork within the hospitality environment.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and moving furniture or equipment when necessary.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to industrial cleaning products and equipment is a plus.
