About Us
Comfort Inn and Suites, Klamath Falls is a 72-room limited-service hotel. We're looking for a reliable, self-motivated Maintenance Technician who can handle the full range of building and equipment maintenance to keep our property in excellent condition for guests and staff.
What You'll Do
- Perform daily property walks to identify and address maintenance needs before they become guest complaints
- Monitor reviews to detect what issues guests are having
- Complete guest room repairs including plumbing fixtures, HVAC units, electrical outlets and switches, drywall patching, caulking, painting, and furniture repair
- Troubleshoot and repair PTAC/HVAC units, pool pumps, water heaters, and basic refrigeration systems
- Handle plumbing repairs including toilets, faucets, showerheads, drains, and water supply lines
- Perform basic electrical work including replacing light fixtures, ballasts, switches, outlets, and GFCIs
- Maintain the building exterior including parking lot, signage, landscaping, pool area, and walkways
- Respond to guest maintenance requests promptly and professionally
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules for all building systems and equipment
- Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized work (elevator, fire suppression, major HVAC, roofing)
- Maintain organized maintenance shop, inventory spare parts, and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with all safety codes, OSHA requirements, and Choice Hotels brand standards
- Assist with room renovations, FF&E installations, and capital improvement projects as needed
- Shovel walkways and manage ice/snow removal during winter months
- Be available for emergency on-call situations on a rotating basis
What We're Looking For
Required:
- 2 years of general maintenance experience (hotel or multi-unit residential preferred)
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, and painting
- Ability to diagnose and repair PTAC units
- Basic understanding of building codes and safety regulations
- Own reliable transportation and basic hand/power tools
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions
- Valid Oregon driver's license
- Must pass a background check
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred:
- EPA Section 608 certification (refrigerant handling)
- CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification or willingness to obtain
- Experience with Choice Hotels or similar branded limited-service properties
- Experience with hotel PMS or maintenance management software

Pay: $15.00 - $18.50 per hour
