Early Childhood Day Treatment Manager


Position Summary

The Early Childhood Day Treatment Manager is responsible for the management and oversight of the ECDT program. This role partners closely with the Vice President of Campus Based Behavioral Health to support program planning, operations, implementation, growth, and expansion. The Manager ensures all services meet quality standards and comply with applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Qualifications

- Education & Licensure

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current LISW or LPCC required.
  • LISW-S or LPCC-S preferred.

- Experience

  • Minimum of three (3) years post-graduate experience.
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Experience in child-serving systems required.
  • Experience in day treatment, partial hospitalization, or inpatient settings strongly preferred.

- Skills & Requirements

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to travel between Best Point satellite sites as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to commute between sites.

Key Responsibilities

- Program Administration

  • Provide overall leadership and administrative oversight of the ECDT program.
  • Ensure implementation of all program activities in compliance with regulatory and accrediting standards.
  • Oversee timely and accurate completion of documentation, reporting, quality tools, and performance measures.
  • Supervise and support administrative responsibilities of supervisory staff to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Demonstrate expertise in behavior modification, crisis intervention, and milieu management.
  • Maintain client supervision, monitoring, and safety at all times.
  • Ensure program, agency, and certification/accreditation requirements are completed within required timeframes.

- Internal & External Collaboration

  • Collaborate with internal behavioral health leadership and staff to support teamwork, culture, and operational efficiencies.
  • Maintain regular communication with client guardians, school districts, and external service providers.
  • Communicate and implement departmental and agency policies and procedures; maintain program manuals.
  • Participate in departmental and agency meetings and committees.

- Fiscal & Program Management

  • Contribute to the development of the annual program budget and ensure fiscal targets are met or exceeded.
  • Oversee enrollment, maintain average daily census, and address barriers to attendance.
  • Monitor program productivity and utilization management.
  • Identify opportunities for program development and expansion and support marketing efforts to community partners.

- Supervision & Leadership

  • Provide operational, clinical, and administrative supervision to direct reports.
  • Serve as back-up support in the absence of staff as needed.
  • Ensure individualized mental health needs of clients are addressed through appropriate clinical oversight.
  • Maintain integrity of behavior management systems, staff training, and professional development.
  • Review program trends and report findings to leadership to support continuous improvement and effective care delivery.

- Quality Assurance

  • Promote quality improvement initiatives and develop action plans to address identified gaps or challenges.
  • Ensure operational plans (utilization, outcomes, marketing, tactical plans) are accurate and effective.
  • Oversee implementation of safety protocols, including review of IRFs, MUIs, and restraint documentation as required.
  • Ensure quarterly program outcomes and required statistical reporting are completed.
  • Coordinate required annual training in collaboration with the Training Department.
  • Participate in recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and training of new staff.

- Direct Client Services (As Needed)

  • Provide direct services including intake, assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, and care coordination.

  • Support parent meetings, treatment team meetings, family engagement activities, and program events.

  • Assist with crisis management and stabilization.

  • Monitor documentation quality, treatment plans, behavioral support plans, and overall care delivery.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment: Exposed to a combination of office, school, and mental health treatment environments. Exposed to children with behavioral health challenges. Will likely be exposed to shouting clients and/or clients who demonstrate physical and verbal aggression. May be exposed to blood or vomit and bodily fluids.

Salary : $72,000 - $80,000
