What are the responsibilities and job description for the Brand and Community Engagement position at BEST FRIENDS PET CARE INC?
The Opportunity
The Farm at Natchez Trace is seeking a dynamic, dual-faceted leader to serve as the heartbeat of our organization. This unique role combines Talent Acquisition with Community Relations, allowing you to shape our team from the inside while building our legacy throughout the Franklin and Westhaven communities.
You aren’t just filling seats; you are curated the culture. You aren't just attending events; you are the face of a luxury pet-care brand.
Core Responsibilities
1. Talent & Culture (Internal Focus)
- High-Touch Recruiting: Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, delivering a "quality over quantity" experience by presenting only the top 1–3 highly vetted candidates for final review.
- Strategic Onboarding: Lead the administrative journey from background checks to Paycom onboarding and training schedules.
- Workforce Planning: Partner with the COO to define roles and titles, ensuring the Farm is staffed for excellence during peak seasons.
2. Community & Events (External Focus)
- Strategic Outreach: Build deep roots in the Franklin and Westhaven areas, specifically within the non-profit and companion animal sectors.
- Event Mastermind: Own the end-to-end execution of off-site exhibits and community events—from booth logistics and staffing to physical setup and teardown.
- Brand Integration: Promote the full ecosystem of The Farm (The Salon, THR!VE Market, Woof Club, and Training) through creative marketing and local partnerships.
- Philanthropy: Manage charitable requests, donation baskets, and community gift tracking.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a "Swiss Army Knife" professional who thrives on variety. You are the right fit if:
- You are a Master Communicator: You can interview a high-level manager in the morning and represent a luxury brand to Westhaven residents in the afternoon.
- You are Operationally Strong: You can handle the "paperwork" of HR (Paycom, background checks) with the same precision you apply to event logistics.
- You are Adaptable: You understand that "The Farm" never sleeps; you are comfortable with a schedule that shifts to include weekends or holidays for major events.
- You are Mobile: You have a valid driver’s license and are comfortable transporting event materials and setting up physical displays.
Schedule & Scaling
This is a full-time role with a variable rhythm. While Community Relations remains consistent, the Recruiting side scales with our seasonal needs:
- Peak Season (March–Nov): Heavy focus on high-volume hiring and community events.
- Off-Season (Dec–Feb): Shift toward strategic planning, vendor relations, and streamlined administrative maintenance.
Why Join Us?
- A unique, non-siloed role where you see the direct impact of your work on the community and the team.
Salary : $20 - $25
