As a member of our team, you will play a critical role in examining and billing accounts receivable primary and secondary claims, reviewing mail correspondence, denials, and handling phone calls from insurance companies and patients.
Responsibilities:
- Examine and bill all accounts receivable primary and secondary claims
- Review mail correspondence, denials, and handle phone calls from insurance companies and patients
- Assist in analysis of open claims-verification of timely submission and claim resolution as needed
- Timely filing of issues/denials to prevent lost revenue
- Assist in maintaining A/R over 120 and review all accounts receivable claims
- Transmit all electronic claims and prepare trial balance reports.
- Process denials and insurance explanation of benefits
- 3 years of medical billing experience, with experience in professional and institutional claims, spanning all types of carriers, including Government, Medicare, Workers Compensation/NoFault, and commercial carriers
- Experience with eClinicalWorks, ClaimMaster, and/or HMS a plus
- High School Diploma or GED; Medical Billing certificate a plus
- Must be willing to work 100% on-site.
- $19.59 - $21.56/hr, based on previous experience, with a sign-on bonus of $500
