We're looking for an energetic and responsible individual to join our team as a Laborer. As a Laborer, you will be trained to drive company trucks and equipment to job sites. Once on site you will assist with site preparation, operate hand & power tools, assist with pipe and septic tank installation, and equipment maintenance among other duties as needed. We need an individual who is comfortable working as part of a team and is capable of completing a variety of tasks in a timely fashion. This position is entry-level and requires little experience, but the candidate we hire MUST have the desire to learn and work efficiently, pay attention to detail, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Berres Excavating believes in employee development and is willing to train the right candidate, though Excavating and/or Septic installation experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
*This individual will assist with snow removal during the winter on an as needed basis and then can be guaranteed hours at the start of the main work season.*
- Load/unload and prep trucks.
- Drive company vehicles.
- Assist with prepping jobsites.
- Assist with pipe and septic system installation.
- Lift and carry heavy loads. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Assist with general construction tasks.
- Operate hand and power tools.
- Handling potentially harmful chemicals/fluids (glue, primer, sewage, etc.)
- Assist the team in snow removal during winter months on an as needed basis
Typical work schedule is Monday - Friday 6 AM - 6 or 7 PM and every other Saturday.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
