W2 Contract – 3 months, with possible extension and/or convert to a full-time employee based on business needs and performance.
Pay Rate: $64.75 - $68.75 /hour - Determined based on experience (Paid weekly)

BEPC is seeking a highly motivated Sr Advanced Mechanical Engineer to join our client’s site in Phoenix, AZ. This role will support engineering teams in developing solutions and systems that meet evolving customer needs through technical validation of engineering drawings, model validation, design reviews, and manufacturing assessments. The position also supports product development, production, and mentoring of less experienced engineers while ensuring engineering documentation complies with industry standards and design intent.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate across aerospace engineering teams to create solutions and systems that meet evolving customer needs.
- Participate in product development and production support activities.
- Coach and mentor less experienced engineers.
- Participate in the evolving technical validation group within the Engine and Power Systems organization.
- Serve as a technical validator of engineering drawings, ensuring complete definition and adherence to company and industry standards.
- Review engineering drawings and models for proper application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure design intent.
- Review engineering designs for correct use of model-based practices and standards.
- Perform model validation.
- Assess designs for manufacturability and cost.
Main Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
- 10 years of mechanical design experience.
- Deep understanding of engineering drawings using ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience and understanding of gas turbine engine components.
- Proven application of ASME drawing standards, including ASME Y14.5 GD&T.
- Deep understanding of engineering drawing interpretation, preparation, and review.
- Experience in the Detailed Design phase.
- Experience with legacy drawings and specifications.
- Ability to mentor and coach others.
- Ability to clearly communicate subtle or complex technical concepts.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong decision-making skills while balancing systematic analysis and decisiveness.
- Experience coordinating, overseeing, and leading small teams.
