Shift: Monday–Friday | Approximately 50 Hours per Week | Flexibility Required to Rotate Work Shifts

Role Overview
BEPC is actively seeking an experienced HSE Engineer to support our customer's LNG manufacturing facility in Palmetto, Florida. This hands-on position is responsible for driving a strong culture of health, safety, and environmental excellence across production operations while ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.
Approximately 70% of this role is spent on the manufacturing floor, partnering directly with production teams to identify hazards, implement safe work practices, conduct inspections, and promote continuous improvement initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for an HSE professional with a strong industrial safety background and experience in manufacturing or heavy industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
Health, Safety & Environmental Leadership
- Promote and maintain a proactive culture of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Provide HSE support across all production areas and warehouse operations.
- Conduct routine shop floor inspections, safety observations, audits, and compliance assessments.
- Apply and reinforce Stop Work Authority when unsafe conditions exist.
- Coach and empower employees to actively participate in workplace safety initiatives.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA regulations, environmental requirements, permits, and company policies.
- Conduct hazard assessments, risk evaluations, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
- Review, update, and deploy Safe Work Procedures.
- Track corrective actions and compliance tasks through the HSE Management System (MST).
Training & Employee Engagement
- Deliver HSE orientation and ongoing safety training for employees.
- Participate in daily Shift Starter and Tier 1 production meetings.
- Build strong partnerships with production teams to improve overall safety performance.
- Communicate HSE expectations clearly across all levels of the organization.
Incident Investigation & Continuous Improvement
- Conduct and support incident investigations and root cause analyses.
- Develop corrective and preventive actions focused on continuous improvement.
- Monitor HSE performance metrics and recommend process improvements.
- Support ISO-based management systems and continuous safety initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) experience with a strong emphasis on industrial safety.
- In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, OSHA requirements, and industry best practices.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or production environments.
- Proven ability to build positive working relationships with production teams and leadership.
- Experience conducting incident investigations and implementing corrective actions.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to spend significant time on the manufacturing floor.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification (completed or in progress).
- Experience in manufacturing, mechanical construction, welding, or heavy industrial environments.
- Familiarity with ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems.
- Demonstrated ability to engage employees at all organizational levels and promote a strong safety culture.
