Senior Staff Accountant

Bellisio Foods is hiring a Senior Accountant! This role is part of our Corporate Accounting and Reporting Ream and will be based out of our corporate headquarters in the North Loop of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

We have production facilities in Jackson OH, Archbold OH, and Los Angeles CA, producing more than 400 products spanning a wide variety of frozen food categories, including single and multi-serve entrees, snacks, and side dishes.

The Senior Staff Accountant will join our established and tenured Corporate Accounting Team and work closely with partners in Accounting and across the business to provide timely and accurate financial statements to management.

This will include, among other things, consolidating management reporting and review of results with business owners, preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and prepare financial packages including variance to budget, prior year and forecasts.
• Verify accuracy of financial reports and data.
• Monitor, analyze and report details of general and administrative expenses for accuracy and compliance.
• Participate in the forecasting/ budgeting process including preparation of cash flow and balance sheets.
• Apply knowledge of accounting to evaluate controls and standardize procedures , identify opportunities for improvements within the department and cross-functionally, and assist in developing and making recommendations to management when appropriate.
• Prepare volume-based reporting including, among other things, headcount and product lines and sales channels reports.
• Provide SAP systems administration back up as necessary (mainly EPM/BPC).
• Support strategic initiatives including capital investments, acquisitions, and system integrations.
• Provide support to Finance and the CFO and other functional business owners as needed.
• Support parent company reporting including monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements and ad hoc requests as necessary.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA strongly preferred)
• 3 years of experience in a corporate accounting role
• Strong Excel skills
• Strong analytical and communication skills, calm under pressure with a keen sense of urgency
• Food or CPG manufacturing industry experience preferred
