Senior Accountant

We have been contracted to hire a Senior Accountant for a growing manufacturing in St. Peters, MO. This role reports to the Controller with a dotted line to the St. Peters Plant Manager. We are looking for a bright, energetic person to provide plant accounting and analysis support to the Controller and Plant Manager.

Specific duties include:

• Current experience using SAP is mandatory
• Maintains general ledger to include the preparation of journal entries, accounts analysis and reconciliation, closing books monthly for the St. Peters plant.
• Own the fixed asset capitalization process including coordination of the Appropriation Requests, follow up to get internal orders (IO) to track capital expenditures; set up fixed assets and settle IO to their respective locations, oversea the fixed assets annual inventory count.
• Interface with Controller and STP purchasing regularly to support sales and use tax filing requirements and help resolve other sales and use tax issues as required.
• Assist with the site Annual Operating Plan preparation
• Approve in SAP the site purchase requisitions
• Monitor & reconcile credit card purchases and submit applicable monthly expense report
• Prepare and distribute monthly department reports
• Interface with auditors both internal and external.
• Participates in and provides other support, reports and analyses as requested.

Experience:

• Minimum 4 to 5 years experience required in process manufacturing environment
• SAP experience – Familiar with FICO module and specifically with fixed assets
• Fixed asset experience from capital project set up and tracking to asset capitalization a plus
• Sales and Use tax preparation a plus

Must be comfortable with interfacing with people at all levels of company

Computer Skills Required:

• Proficiency in SAP Financial/Controlling (FI-CO) modules
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., lookup function, pivot table)
