Senior Construction Estimator

Bell & Associates is recruiting an Estimator or Senior Construction Estimator for an established, privately held general contractor and industrial construction company just north of the Ridgefield, WA area. The company is growing, has a strong backlog, and completes complex projects for government and private-sector clients throughout the country.

The Opportunity

This person will develop complete estimates for general contracting projects involving multiple scopes and trades. You will work closely with project managers, operations teams, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout the bidding and preconstruction process.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates from plans, specifications, and scopes of work
• Perform takeoffs and develop labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing
• Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and supplier proposals
• Identify scope gaps, exclusions, risks, and potential cost impacts
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits
• Support estimate reviews, negotiations, and project handoffs

Qualifications

• Five or more years of general contracting estimating experience, government/federal experience preferred
• Experience estimating projects across multiple scopes and trades
• Strong plan, specification, and subcontractor quote review skills
• Proficiency with Bluebeam or comparable estimating software
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Federal, military, state, or local government project experience is highly preferred
• Ability to work primarily onsite in Kelso

Compensation and Benefits

• $100,000 to $150,000
