Accounts Payable Accountant

Location: Fort Worth, TX | Onsite

Compensation: $60k-75k DOE

We are partnering with an established organization to identify an Accounts Payable Specialist to join its accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys taking ownership of their work, staying organized in a fast-paced environment, and contributing to a collaborative team.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing day-to-day AP responsibilities with a high level of accountability.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounts payable activities, including invoice processing, coding, and payment preparation.
• Ensure invoices are processed accurately and timely in accordance with company policies.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments to address payment questions and discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with month-end close activities and AP reconciliations.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency.
• Take ownership of outstanding items and proactively communicate updates or potential issues.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounts payable experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and take initiative.
• A collaborative mindset with a strong sense of accountability.
