We are seeking compassionate and dedicated PRN Caregivers to provide high-quality, personalized care to individuals in various settings, including assisted living, home health, and community care environments. Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe for any changes in health status, documenting findings accurately.
- Support medication administration following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as necessary.
- Utilize appropriate transfer techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts to ensure safe mobility and prevent injury.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning and sanitizing client spaces.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a respectful and engaging atmosphere for clients with dementia, Alzheimer’s, or developmental disabilities.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care.
Skills
- Proven experience in home care, assisted living, or long-term care environments with a focus on senior or disability care.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs measurement, and medication management.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in Alzheimer's or dementia care is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality at all times.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and assist with patient transfers using equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder enhances caregiving effectiveness.
- Strong organizational skills for managing multiple care tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
