Beech Valley is partnering with a respected Richmond-based public accounting firm to identify an experienced Tax Senior or Tax Manager to join its growing team. This is an onsite position based in Richmond, Virginia, and is ideal for a tax professional with at least five years of hands-on tax preparation experience who can provide technical support to firm leadership while mentoring and developing junior staff. The successful candidate will bring strong tax expertise, excellent client service skills, and the ability to independently manage multiple engagements while delivering exceptional client service.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Review work prepared by staff accountants and provide coaching, guidance, and constructive feedback.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to help clients minimize tax liabilities.
- Advise clients on the tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for client inquiries and maintain strong client relationships.
- Communicate proactively with clients to understand their needs and provide effective solutions.
- Manage multiple engagements and deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Mentor, train, and develop junior tax professionals and interns.
- Identify process improvements and share best practices to enhance efficiency and engagement quality.
- Stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate their impact to clients and team members.
What We're Looking For
- CPA required.
- 5 years of tax preparation experience, preferably within public accounting.
- Strong technical knowledge of individual, corporate, and partnership taxation.
- Experience reviewing tax returns and leading or mentoring junior staff.
- Ability to independently manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Strong client relationship management and advisory skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Salary : $85,000 - $120,000
