Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Clinical Practitioner to join our team in providing high-quality mental health services to individuals incarcerated in the New York City jail system.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric care, including admission evaluations, follow-ups, and urgent consultations. This role requires the ability to work effectively with multiple disciplines, including security staff, and to provide patient education on medication and treatment adherence.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychopathology, psychopharmacology, and psychotherapy, as well as experience working with patients with complex medical and psychiatric needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide psychiatric care, including admission evaluations, follow-ups, and urgent consultations
- Participate in the creation of individualized treatment plans
- Evaluate patients for the need for higher-level care, including hospitalization
- Document all activities in the electronic medical record
