Duties
- Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures, including medication administration, animal restraint, and sample collection.

- Provide compassionate animal handling and restraint for examinations, treatments, and diagnostics across multiple species, including dogs, cats, and equines.
- Perform animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, cleaning kennels, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for animals in the clinic.
- Support laboratory work by preparing samples, conducting basic tests, and maintaining accurate records of results.
- Manage front desk responsibilities including appointment scheduling, client communication, and maintaining patient records with veterinary terminology proficiency.
- Administer medications accurately following aseptic techniques and veterinary protocols.
- Assist with specialized procedures such as animal catheterization or intravenous access under supervision.
- Maintain knowledge of animal physiology, anatomy, and veterinary critical care practices to support ongoing treatment plans.
Skills
- Proven kennel experience along with animal husbandry skills to ensure optimal pet comfort and safety.
- Strong veterinary technician experience combined with familiarity in veterinary clinic operations.
- Skilled in animal restraint techniques for safe examination and treatment procedures.
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, laboratory procedures, and aseptic techniques essential for clinical support.
- Experience with front desk duties including client communication and appointment management.
- Ability to handle diverse animals confidently—dog handling skills are particularly valuable—and possess an understanding of animal behavior.
- Familiarity with pet care routines, medication administration protocols, and basic animal physiology concepts.
