- Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures including animal restraint, catheterization, and laboratory testing to ensure accurate diagnostics and treatment.
- Perform animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, bathing, grooming, and maintaining cleanliness in kennels and treatment areas.
- Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with pet dental care, including cleaning and oral examinations.
- Handle a variety of animals confidently using animal handling techniques, ensuring safety for both pets and staff.
- Operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines, maintaining aseptic technique during imaging procedures.
- Maintain detailed records of animal care, medical treatments, laboratory results, and radiographs in compliance with clinic protocols.
- Contribute to critical care situations by monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting in emergency response scenarios involving veterinary critical care experience.
- Proven kennel experience with the ability to manage multiple animals comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary critical care procedures.
- Familiarity with laboratory techniques and equipment used in diagnostic testing.
- Experience with equine or dog handling skills is a plus for clinics that serve diverse species.
- Ability to perform pet grooming and basic pet care tasks confidently.
