POSITION SUMMARY: Washes dishes, pots, and pans for restaurant dining room. Generally keeps dish room neat and organized. Assists the cooks in the daily prep of their stations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Washes and puts away all dishes, pans, and utensils.
- Stocks, stores, and straightens up according to procedures.
- Generally keeps kitchen area clean.
- Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition.
- Stocks, stores, and straightens up according to procedures.
- Must keep work area neat, organized and free of slip and trip hazards.
- Does daily prep work for station and cooks line.
- Assists cooks as a back-up, preparing and retrieving.
- Cleans station check list for daily items to prep.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Can work quickly and efficiently.
- Willing to learn how to operate and maintain an automatic dishwasher.
- Willing to learn sanitation policies and procedures.
- Must be able to follow instructions accurately.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Must provide or obtain a Food Handlers certification upon hire and maintain during employment.
COMPUTER OPERATIONS:
- Basic personal computer skills.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must be able to work with American Indian people and be sensitive to their culture.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
- Participate in proactive team efforts of Bear River Casino Resort.
- Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
- Will utilize proper safety equipment and wear non-slip shoes.
