Responsibilities
Research & Analysis
- Build and maintain detailed financial and valuation models
- Analyze quarterly earnings, SEC filings, investor presentations, and industry developments
- Conduct deep-dive company and sector research across Aerospace & Defense and Industrial Technology
- Track defense budgets, geopolitical developments, supply chain dynamics, and sector catalysts
- Support differentiated thematic research and investment idea generation
- Assist with initiation reports, industry primers, and earnings notes
Financial Modeling
- Forecast company financials and operational metrics
- Perform valuation analysis, including DCF, comparable companies, and precedent transactions
- Maintain sector databases and industry trackers
- Analyze market trends and competitive positioning
Writing & Communication
- Draft research reports, company notes, and thematic publications
- Prepare presentations and marketing materials for institutional clients
- Respond to investor and sales/trading requests in a timely manner
- Communicate investment views clearly and concisely
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline
- 1–4 years of experience in Equity Research, Investment Banking, Buy-side Research, Corporate Finance or Aerospace & Defense analysis
- Strong financial statement analysis and accounting knowledge
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Interest in Aerospace & Defense, industrials, and financial markets
Preferred
- Prior Aerospace & Defense or Industrials sector experience
- Familiarity with defense contractors, aerospace supply chains, or industrial technology
- Bloomberg and/or FactSet experience
- VBA, Python, or data analysis skills
- CFA designation or progress toward completion
