What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at Beacon Hill?
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support the financial operations of our clients organization. The ideal candidate is experienced in core accounting functions, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to take ownership of key processes with minimal oversight.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and basic variance analysis
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate, timely recording of financial transactions
- Prepare and support financial reports, schedules, and documentation for internal use
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, including data collection and analysis
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, cash management, and expense reporting as needed
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Proficiency with accounting systems and advanced Excel skills
