What are the responsibilities and job description for the STAFF ACCOUNTANT position at TRI-COUNTY COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY?
JOB FUNCTION: The individual is responsible for most Agency’s Grant Administration, and analysis.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Reconcile monthly, assigned bank accounts.
- Ensure that all revenues and expenses are properly posted to each assigned grant.
- Monitor assigned Federal & State program/grant budgets and reports variances to Program Director.
- Prepare grant expenditure reports, budget modifications, and closeout reports as required for assigned grants.
- Prepare journal entries needed for grant reports.
- Review all purchase orders for assigned grants for proper coding and budget requirements.
- Preform analytical reviews of various balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Prepares spreadsheets and analysis needed or requested by Director.
Employees will perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by the director and/or supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting
- Proficient in Fund Accounting Software (Financial Edge, preferred), and Microsoft Office (excel, word, outlook)
- Ability to work independently
