JOB TITLE: Home Energy Assistance Adjudicator
HOURS: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, some afterhours and weekends required
SUPERVISOR: HEA Office Manager
DIRECTOR: VP/Social Services
DEPARTMENT: Social Services Department
JOB FUNCTION: The Home Energy Assistance Adjudicator will perform duties to promote Energy Assistance Program in Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem Counties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Process Home Energy Assistance Applications in CRM
- Process Home Energy Assistance Application in JAVA, when necessary
- Process Winter Termination Program registrations
- Make applicant appointment via ITFrontDesk scheduler and/or google calendar
- Answering incoming calls, record messages and relaying information
- Make sure all documentation required for completing application is correct
- Complete intake procedures on all scheduled appointments and walk- ins
- Maintain excel applicant tracking logs on a daily basis
- Assist clients with NJSHARES application process
- Attend Outreach Events/Activities in Cumberland, Gloucester & Salem
- Maintaining projected Levels of Service
- Enter applicant information into the EmpowOR database
- Maintain a working relationship with Utility Companies
- Conduct home visits to homebound applicants when necessary
- Refer applicants to other Social Services Programs as needed
- Some travel necessary
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED and one year of experience in a customer friendly business
- Knowledge of computer and Microsoft office programs
- Good written and oral communication skills in English and/or Spanish
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Access to an insured vehicle daily
