What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Real Estate Legal Assistant position at Beacon Hill?
Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Legal Assistant for a fully onsite, temporary position with our client in Atlanta, GA. This is a full-time role, Monday - Friday, during standard business hours. The anticipated duration of the role is 1 months with the possibility of extension.
The ideal candidate for this position will have 3 years of relevant legal experience in a law firm setting. Experience in the Commercial Real Estate space is a plus but not a requirement. Essential duties include:
Transactional Support
* Assist attorneys with all phases of commercial real estate transactions, including purchases, sales, leases, financings, and development matters
* Prepare, revise, and proofread real estate documents such as purchase and sale agreements, leases, amendments, loan documents, closing checklists, and ancillary agreements
* Coordinate and manage closing logistics, including signature packets, escrow items, and post closing deliverables
* Track transaction deadlines and critical dates; ensure timely follow up with internal teams and external parties
Document & File Management
* Maintain and organize electronic and physical client files in accordance with firm policies
* Manage document version control and circulate finalized documents to clients and opposing counsel
* Prepare documents for execution, including e signatures and notarization
Administrative & Client Support
* Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, title companies, lenders, brokers, and other third parties
* Assist with attorney time entry, expense reports, billing coordination, and matter intake
* Schedule meetings, closings, and calls across multiple time zones
* Support business development activities, including pitch materials and client communications, as needed
Firm Compliance & Collaboration
* Ensure compliance with firm procedures, risk management protocols, and confidentiality requirements
* Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and other legal assistants across offices and practice groups
