Responsibilities Include
- Draft, proofread, and format legal documents and correspondence
- Prepare and file documents with state and federal courts (including e-filing)
- Maintain and organize physical and electronic case files
- Schedule appointments, depositions, court dates, and meetings for attorneys
- Answer and route phone calls and correspondence in a professional manner
- Assist with trial preparation, document assembly, and exhibit organization
- Ensure deadlines are tracked and met according to court requirements
- Perform general administrative duties such as scanning, copying, and managing mail
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a legal secretary (personal injury experience preferred)
- Knowledge of California court rules and litigation procedures
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
