This is a full-time, on-site position for a Legal Secretary located in Los Angeles, CA. The Legal Secretary will provide professional administrative and clerical support to attorneys and staff. Responsibilities include preparing, proofreading, and organizing legal documents, managing calendars and deadlines, handling correspondence and filing, and maintaining client confidentiality. The role also includes assisting with scheduling meetings, tracking cases, and other operational support tasks to ensure smooth workflow in our fast-paced legal environment.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, experience in legal document preparation, and familiarity with procedures in employment law.
- Proficiency in clerical tasks, including managing correspondence, maintaining accurate files, and performing general office duties.
- Experience with legal assistant responsibilities, including research support and ensuring compliance with filing deadlines.
- Diary management skills, including scheduling meetings, tracking key dates, and organization of legal calendars.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in relevant software, including Microsoft Office Suite; experience with legal case management software is a plus.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in legal studies is preferred.
