This is a highly specialized role that demands excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills, as well as the ability to navigate intricate medical and legal processes.
Responsibilities Include
- Manage a caseload of catastrophic injury cases, including those involving surgical procedures, traumatic brain injuries (TBI), and spinal cord injuries
- Coordinate all aspects of case management, from client intake to settlement, ensuring the timely collection of medical records and other essential documentation
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and ensuring they receive appropriate medical treatment and care
- Collaborate with attorneys to ensure that case strategies are aligned with the needs of the client and the legal team
- Work with medical providers, insurance companies, and expert witnesses to secure necessary documentation and support the case
- Ensure that case files are properly organized, with all necessary documents and records accurately maintained and easily accessible
- Monitor and manage case deadlines to ensure timely progression through the pre-litigation process
- 5 years of experience in personal injury law, with a focus on catastrophic injury cases (surgical, TBI, spinal cord injuries, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of medical records, treatment plans, and catastrophic injury management
- Proven track record of managing complex cases and working effectively with medical professionals, clients, and legal teams
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage a high caseload
- Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with clients facing significant injuries
- Leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and guide junior case managers
- Proficient in case management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
