Job Overview
A law firm seeks a mid-to-senior-level associate with 3-6 years of patent prosecution experience to join the Pharmaceutical group in the Prosecution & Counseling department. This position is available in Boston, New York, or Washington, D.C.
Duties
- Collaborate with clients and inventors throughout the patent process.
- Prepare and file patent applications.
- Conduct freedom-to-operate and patentability analyses.
- Assist in additional responsibilities or projects as needed.
Requirements
- 3-6 years of patent prosecution experience in a law firm setting.
- Admitted to or eligible for admission in Massachusetts, New York, or Washington, D.C.
- Admission to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is required.
Education
- Ph.D. in organic chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field.
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
Certifications
- Admission to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
