Job Overview
A law firm seeks a mid-level tax associate to join the Tax and Estate Planning team in Chicago, IL. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with shareholders and engage in business development and client-facing activities within a collaborative team environment.

Duties

• Collaborate with team members on tax and estate planning matters.
• Engage in client-facing activities and business development.
• Provide legal advice on income tax aspects of M&A and finance.

Requirements

• 4-5 years of relevant law firm tax experience or Big 4 accounting firm experience in M&A.
• Experience in income tax aspects of M&A and finance preferred.
• Admitted in, or taking steps to become admitted in, Illinois.

Education

• J.D. degree with a strong academic background.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice law in Illinois or eligible for admission.
