This New York based firm was founded nearly two decades ago. Nearly half a dozen attorneys work for this firm.

A well-established matrimonial and family law firm is actively seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney to support a growing practice focused on divorce, custody, support, and related domestic relations matters. This Garden City legal job is ideal for attorneys seeking substantial courtroom exposure and long-term growth within a collaborative family law environment.

The firm represents clients in a broad range of sophisticated matrimonial disputes, including high-net-worth divorce matters, custody disputes, fathers’ rights claims, and family court proceedings. Attorneys work closely with experienced family law practitioners while maintaining direct client communication and meaningful litigation responsibilities.

Duties

• Represent clients in matrimonial and family law matters, including divorce, custody, and support proceedings

• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, agreements, and court filings

• Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and litigation proceedings

• Advise clients regarding legal rights, obligations, and litigation strategies

• Negotiate settlements involving custody, support, and marital asset disputes

• Manage multiple active family law cases simultaneously

• Handle matters involving Nassau County, Long Island, Queens, Manhattan, and Brooklyn courts

• Maintain effective communication with clients regarding case developments

• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient case management

Requirements

• 3 years of litigation or matrimonial law experience preferred

• Experience handling divorce and family law matters strongly preferred

• Strong legal writing, communication, and negotiation abilities

• Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment

• Strong interpersonal and client relationship management skills

• Highly organized and detail-oriented approach

• Courtroom experience preferred

• New York Bar required
