Key Responsibilities

• Draft estate planning documents including trusts, promissory notes, and related instruments.

• Review, analyze, and summarize existing trust documents and complex estate plans.

• Assist with modifications to irrevocable trusts and related planning structures.

• Prepare and file gift and estate tax returns.

• Draft client correspondence and respond to client inquiries.

• Manage multiple client matters with timely, high-quality work product.

• Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff on sophisticated planning matters.

• Participate in client meetings and support ongoing client relationships.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

• Active Illinois Bar license in good standing.

• 4 years of estate planning and trust administration experience.

• Strong understanding of trusts, estate planning documents, and applicable tax rules.

• Ability to independently draft estate plans and trust instruments.

• Experience preparing gift and estate tax returns.

• Excellent written, verbal, and client communication skills.
