Duties
• Represent employees throughout every phase of employment litigation in state and federal courts.
• Handle workplace discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and other employment-related disputes.
• Draft pleadings, briefs, motions, memoranda, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop strategic litigation recommendations.
• Take and defend depositions involving parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding litigation strategy, case developments, and legal guidance.
• Communicate effectively with opposing counsel throughout litigation.
• Represent clients during hearings, mediations, trials, and other court proceedings.
• Serve as second chair during hearings and trials, with Senior Associates assuming first-chair responsibilities when appropriate.
• Prepare witnesses, organize trial materials, and assist with all phases of trial preparation.
• Manage multiple litigation matters while maintaining exceptional client service and meeting deadlines.
• Collaborate with attorneys on complex employment litigation and civil rights matters.

Requirements
• 1–4 years of employment litigation experience.
• Experience representing employees in employment discrimination or civil rights matters.
• Active membership in the Maryland Bar or eligibility for admission within six months.
• Experience representing federal sector employees is preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.
• Excellent oral advocacy and communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
