Job Description
We are seeking a Research Associate to join our Regulatory Sciences team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in PCR molecular analyses, DNA extraction, and GLP-compliant documentation and a proven ability to execute laboratory protocols, organize study data, and troubleshoot PCR-related technical issues.
Responsibilities:
- Provide molecular analysis support including DNA extraction, sample weighing, control generation, master mix preparation, and PCR plate setup.
- Investigate, develop, and adapt molecular methods to address laboratory technology needs and emerging data requirements.
- Document protocols, methods, and results in accordance with government regulatory requirements and Good Laboratory Practices.
- Participate in GLP-compliant experiments to address key scientific questions and summarize study data.
- Troubleshoot PCR technologies, plan experiments with laboratory personnel, and implement next steps to resolve technical issues.
- Maintain laboratory resources including inventory, safety practices, and equipment calibrations.
- Adhere to SOPs, methods, and worksheets for analytical procedures and equipment related to weighing, DNA extraction, reagent preparation, genomic controls, and PCR.
- Maintain equipment maintenance logs, including daily, routine, and non-routine activities.
- Coordinate research, greenhouse, and laboratory efforts to obtain materials such as tissues, reagents, and labware for regulatory studies.
- Document and prepare study records to support regulatory trait package preparation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with PCR workflows, including DNA extraction and PCR plate setup.
- Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices and adherence to SOPs and documentation standards.
- Ability to troubleshoot molecular assays and collaborate on experimental design and execution.
- Strong organizational skills for inventory, equipment logs, and study record management.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience supporting regulatory submissions or trait package preparation.
- Familiarity with greenhouse coordination and sample logistics.
