Job Description

We are seeking a Software Engineer V to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in database systems, operating systems, and full SDLC and a proven ability to design, develop, test, and secure enterprise-grade software and data platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Review and approve modifications to existing databases and database management systems.


• Instruct staff to write and code logical and physical database descriptions and define identifiers for management systems.


• Direct database development and approve project scope and limitations.


• Review project requests describing database user needs and estimate time and cost.


• Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard information against unauthorized access or damage.


• Approve, schedule, plan, and supervise installation and testing of new products and system improvements.


• Develop standards and guidelines for software use, acquisition, and protection of sensitive information.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency with database systems and development tools such as SQL and Visual Basic or similar technologies.


• Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.


• Expert ability to work independently, manage time, and mentor team members.


• Expert knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, from analysis and requirements to testing and delivery.


• Expert troubleshooting skills and ability to implement system changes to resolve issues.


• Expert knowledge of computer hardware and software fundamentals.


• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with operating systems-level software, compilers, or network distribution software.


• Background in security best practices for safeguarding data and systems.
