Location: 100% Remote

Anticipated Start Date: August 31, 2026
Duration: 6 Months Contract (Possible Extension)
Shift: 9am-5pm EST Monday to Friday
Pay Range: $33/hr. on W2

Job Description

The Business Analyst I is responsible for performing analysis and interpretation to support business needs and objectives. This role works closely with internal teams to process provider contract information, analyze business requirements, and ensure accurate provider data is loaded into claims payment systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and process cases involving new provider contracts and providers added to existing contracts.
• Review provider contracts and set-up guides to identify the appropriate data required for system configuration.
• Interpret contract payment terms, effective dates, lines of business, and other contractual information.
• Load provider data accurately into claims payment systems.
• Ensure provider information is configured correctly to support accurate claims payments.
• Complete assigned cases within established turnaround times of 1–3 business days.
• Collaborate with contracting teams and other internal departments to resolve questions and ensure data accuracy.
• Perform business process analysis and support business objectives through accurate documentation and analysis.
• Maintain data accuracy while adhering to organizational policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Amisys system experience must require
• 0–2 years of business process analysis or data analysis experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with medical claims and healthcare contracts.
• Experience interpreting healthcare contracts.
• Knowledge of medical claims payment processes.
• Provider data experience.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Project management experience.
• Experience with the Amisys system.
• Experience documenting business processes and gathering requirements.
• Experience in a healthcare or data-driven environment.
• Knowledge of data migration, software enhancements, and Agile methodologies.
