Job Title: Document Control Specialist (Non-Technical)
Location: Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite, 2 Days Remote)
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Document Control Specialist to support multiple programs by managing documentation, ensuring process compliance, and coordinating with cross-functional teams. This role is non-technical and focuses on routing, reviewing, formatting, and verifying document accuracy provided by engineering and other departments. The ideal candidate is a strong team player, capable of working under pressure, meeting tight deadlines, and handling high volumes of process-driven and repetitive documentation tasks. Experience with documentation tool suites such as Integrity and BitBucket is highly preferred. A Bachelor’s degree is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Reviews and agrees on high-level control and instrumentation system requirements, including testability. Analyzes and translates high-level requirements into validated designs for control and instrumentation systems. Captures applicable design constraints and quality attributes to ensure compliance. Designs and implements control and instrumentation systems aligned with standards and allocates requirements to verification test vehicles. Analyzes system functionality through modeling, simulation, or testing to validate compliance with system requirements. Develops and reviews control system tests and analyzes verification results. Supports targeted testing for problem investigations and customer issues. Collaborates with other disciplines to ensure components meet functional performance requirements. Supports capacity planning and long-term strategic departmental goals as needed. Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, guidelines, tools, and training. Produces documentation and reports to support compliance. Designs subsystems by translating customer requirements into validated functional requirements and creates high-integrity mathematical models as needed. Performs detailed performance analyses for control systems. Ensures robust and optimal design using appropriate engineering tools and processes. Defines system architecture with guidance from senior specialists and supports detailed specification, integration, and hazard analysis.
