PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Manager, Programming (FAST) will steer content planning, scheduling, marketing and performance analytics for active BBC Studios free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) propositions.
With the support of operations, marketing and creative services resources, the Manager, Programming (FAST), will work directly with platforms to optimize viewer retention and engagement for BBC Studios North America and Latin America's growing portfolio of FAST Channels. The successful candidate will focus on audience insights and channel development, using key performance indicators to assess and reactively refine scheduling strategies, and execute audience-building programming stunts.
Your Key Responsibilities And Impact
The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $80,000 to $90,000. This range does not include bonus compensation or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and geographic location of the position.
This range is not inclusive of a competitive bonus, flexible, hybrid working schedule & benefits including but not limited to: 100% BBCS covered medical & dental insurance, vision, & 401k match.

Your Key Responsibilities And Impact
- Plan and execute on FAST scheduling across a portfolio of channels from launch to long range planning
- Work directly with 3rd party content integration vendors to schedule and deliver our portfolio of FAST channels to partnered FAST platforms.
- Become an expert in the BBC catalogue and use insights to build and iterate programming strategies and channel schedules
- Work directly with FAST platforms to align with their marketing activity calendars
- Seek out opportunities to pitch timely, relevant, BBC Studios-led content scheduling initiatives that dovetail with client objectives and drive audience appetite
- Manage day-to-day FAST channel scheduling, insights analysis, and programming stunts
- Own and distribute weekly and monthly schedules, marketing highlights and new content avails to clients and internal staff
- Manage a scalable daily data dashboard to track KPIs across all channels, regularly summarizing key findings to senior stakeholders
- Interpret and use viewership data to continually optimize performance of channels and develop a sophisticated audience profile per channel.
- Work with platforms to identify and develop impactful channel-specific content buckets, tactically refreshing channel feeds to increase long term audience retention
- Build curated programming stunts to highlight timely, topical, or premium content that will resonate with viewers and attract new audiences
- Liaise with a team of creative services resources to develop and deliver custom platform graphics, promotional videos and other assets to key platform partners.
- Regularly report on the outcome of content strategies to key stakeholders
- Work closely with AVOD, SVOD and Home Entertainment sales leads to optimize go-to-market strategies for both new key titles and existing premium library content.
- 1 years’ experience in a television programming, linear/digital marketing, or streaming video client management
- Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent professional experience
- Knowledge of the US FAST marketplace
- Experience with marketing campaigns and creative services briefs
- Detailed knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
- Experience with FAST vendors and content management systems preferred
- Ability to act as a BBC and/or British content evangelist
- Ability to manage and action on sophisticated data and analytics dashboards
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to work across teams, departments and countries
- Ability to work independently and confidently connect with new businesses
- Ability to work in an open, collaborative, flexible team environment
